Cat Purrse: Virtual Pet Show – April 2020

For the month of April 2020, we are running a Virtual Pet Show in aid of Community Cats Network’s South Tipperary TNR fund. All proceeds will go to the neutering of stray and feral cats in the South Tipperary area. Photos must be animal-themed and must be your own.

There are 3 categories:

Mention your category when submitting your photo and they will be uploaded in the relevant photo album for the public to vote. There will be a prize (to be announced) for each category. The 3 photos with the most “likes” in each category will be shortlisted and an independent jury will choose the winning photos. You can submit photos until the 26th of April and the public can vote until the 29th of April. The winners will be announced on the 30th of April. To submit a photo (or more), pay the €4 entry fee or €10 for 3 entries via Paypal and email your photo to info@communitycats.ie.

Here is a selection of some of the prizes that may be included. Note that if delivery cannot be organised locally, postage will be at your own charge.

Photo Competition – October 2019

For the month of October, we are running an animal photo competition on our fundraising Facebook page, The Cat Purrse. All proceeds will go to the neutering of stray and feral cats in South Tipperary.

To take part, it’s easy. Buy an entry (or more) online here (€5 per entry or €12 for 3 entries) and email your photo to ccntipp@gmail.com. Your photo will be uploaded on the Cat Purrse’s facebook album where the public can vote for it until the 30th of October. The 5 photos with the most votes will be sent to an independent jury to choose a winner and two runner-ups. The winner will be announced on Facebook at the start of November. There are three prizes to choose from – the winner will have 1st choice, while the runner-ups will have 2nd and 3rd choice.

Submissions are accepted until the 27th of October. 

Note that the photo must be your own and must be animal-themed. All animals welcome!

If collection cannot be arranged locally, the cost of postage will be at your own charge.

Show us your best pose for a chance to win a fabulous portrait commission of your favourite friend by talented artist Maureen Roe. Open to all animals!

To take part, it’s easy. Buy an entry (or more) online here (€4 per entry or €10 for 3 entries) and email your photo to info@communitycats.ie. Your photo will be uploaded on the Cat Purrse’s facebook album where the public can vote for it until the 15th of August. The 5 photos with the most votes will be sent to an independent jury to choose a winner for the pet portrait. Winners will be announced on Facebook on the 16th of August. Submissions are accepted until the 11th of August.

Note that the photo must be your own and must be animal-themed.

To take part, it’s easy. Buy an entry (or more) online here (€5 per entry) and email your photo to communitycatsnetwork@gmail.com. Your photo will be uploaded on the Cat Purrse’s facebook page where the public can vote for it until the 27th of February. The 5 photos with the most votes will be sent to an independent jury to choose a winner for the pet portrait and 2 runner-up photos, that will win a rosette. Winners will be announced on Facebook on the 28th of February. Submissions are accepted until the 25th of February.

The Cat Purrse

 

We have created a new fundraising Facebook page, The Cat Purrse, to enable our volunteers to raise money online for our various TNR community funds. Each month, we will offer a new fundraiser for a specific area. Please follow (and share) the page and help us to raise much needed funds!

Our first fundraiser is a photo competition taking place this month for the West Waterford TNR fund. Entries will be accepted until the 28th of March. Check out the great submissions we have received so far!
