Bagpacking – Supervalu Mitchelstown – 9/05/2019

Community Cats Network are having their annual bagpacking day in Farrell’s Supervalu in Mitchelstown on May 9th.

We are looking for volunteers to help out for an hour or two. please text 089 4686055 if you can help; thanks!

All proceeds will go to neutering stray and feral cats in the town. Please support!

 

Online Auction at The Cat Purrse – April 2019

This month at The Cat Purrse, we are having an auction to raise funds for TNR in East Cork and West Waterford, where we have been doing ongoing work for the past few years.

The auction will start on April 4th at 6pm and close on April 15thl at 9pm sharp. Every day, we will be adding new items for your to bid on. To bid, simply comment under the photo. There are many jewellery pieces, as well as craft items and art, but also toiletry sets, bags, toys, etc, so check it out and share with your friends!

Note that all items will be posted and that postage will be at your own charge. All items must be paid by the end of the month.

CCN’s 7th Birthday Raffle – April 2019

On April 27th, Community Cats Network will celebrate their 7th birthday. 7 years in existence and over 6,000 cats helped no mean feast!

To mark the occasion and to thank you for your support, we will have some fun competitions on our Facebook page from April 20th to 28th.

You can also help us to celebrate and raise funds to help more cats by supporting our birthday appeal. Tickets for the raffle are €2 each, €5 for 3 or €10 for 8 and can be bought here.

Raffle at The Cat Purrse – March 2019

For the month of March 2019, we are holding a raffle at The Cat Purrse in aid of Community Cats Network’s South Tipperary TNR fund. All proceeds will go to the neutering of stray and feral cats in the Clonmel area. To take part, it couldn’t be easier, just get your tickets here and we will email you your numbers. Tickets are €2 each, €5 for 3 tickets or €10 for 8 tickets.

The more tickets you buy, the more prizes will be added! We will put up a new prize for every 25 tickets sold! To view the prizes, visit The Cat Purrse page.

The draw will take place on the 31st of March and winners will be announced on the page and contacted via email. Note that if collection cannot be arranged locally (Clonmel), handling & postage will be at your own charge.

Fun Online Bingo – February 2019

Do you like to play Bingo? Would you like to play from the comfort of your home? If so, look no further and you will be supporting a good cause too!

 

For the month of February, we are running an online Bingo on our fundraising Facebook page, The Cat Purrse. All proceeds will go to the neutering of stray and feral cats in West Waterford.

To take part, it’s easy. Buy your card(s) online here (€2 per card or €10 for a sheet of 6 cards). We will email you a photo of your card, which you will need to print. Follow The Cat Purrse page where every day we will be announcing the drawn numbers from the 14th of February. Don’t worry if you missed one night you can catch up the following day by checking the photo album. We will be playing for a line, 2 lines and a full house. For more information, click here.

Christmas/New Year Appeal Raffle 2019

As part of our Christmas/New Year appeal and in order to help us raise some much needed funds to neuter feral cats in county Cork, Community Cats Network have organised a raffle with some fantastic prizes kindly sponsored by local businesses and supporters.  The draw will take place on the 11th of January 2019 in Harty’s Pub in Cloyne.

Tickets are only €1 each or €5 for a book of 6 tickets, but by buying one, you could make a massive difference to the lives of feral cats. They can be bought online (books only), from Harty’s Pub in Cloyne, Ballycotton Post Office, Cloyne Veterinary Clinic, Midleton Veterinary Hospital or from one of our volunteers. If you would like to help us by taking some books of tickets to sell to friends, colleagues and family, please get in touch! Photo of your ticket(s) will be emailed to you when buying online. For alternative methods of payment, please email us at communitycatsnetwork@gmail.com.

Calendar Launch – Nov 2nd at Maxi Zoo Midleton

We are delighted to invite you to the official launch of our calendar 2019!

The launch will take place on the 2nd of November, from 5 to 7pm, at Maxi Zoo in Midleton. Join us for some refreshments and a special surprise!

We will have a selection of our hand-crafted goodies for sale on the evening, as well as our Christmas cards and calendars. Anyone making a purchase on the night will be entered in a draw to win a great hamper sponsored by Maxi Zoo. You can also enter the draw by purchasing a calendar or pack of cards from Maxi Zoo Midleton before the 2nd of November.

We will be joined on the evening by a special guest: Abi the Cat!

Christmas Cards and Calendars 2019

Our Christmas cards and calendars 2019 are out now!

We are very proud of our 2019 calendar, which features the photos and stories of some of the cats we have trapped during the year.  It costs €7 and would make an ideal stocking filler or gift to send abroad.

Our Christmas cards also feature cats and kittens that CCN have been involved with during the year.  You can find the story of each cat inside the card.

The pack of cards costs €5 and contains 6 cards with a different design on each.  There are three models to choose from.

Model 4 contains cards that were kindly designed by Katie McGroarty and feature the stories of Little Miss Greedy Guts (Clonmel), the Summer of Love (Waterfall), a large colony in Dungarvan, Bluebell and Sunflower from Charleville, a Carer with a Big Heart in Mallow and a Colony in Ballinacurra.

Model 3 contains cards that were kindly designed by Axelle Rychembusch and feature the stories of a colony in Ardmore, Major Tom from Kilady, a large TNR project in Youghal, a young and beautiful Cork city cat, a well-cared for colony in Midleton and of some unusual customers in Mitchelstown.

Photo Competition – October 2018

How would you like winning an amazing portrait of your pet painted by the amazing artist, Maureen Roe?

 

This month, we are running an animal photo competition on our fundraising Facebook page, The Cat Purrse. All proceeds will go to the neutering of stray and feral cats in East Cork.

To take part, it’s easy. Buy an entry (or more) online here (€5 per entry) and email your photo to communitycatsnetwork@gmail.com. Your photo will be uploaded on the Cat Purrse’s facebook page where the public can vote for it until the 30th of October. The 5 photos with the most votes will be sent to an independent jury to choose a winner for the pet portrait. Winners will be announced on Facebook on the 31st of October. Submissions are accepted until the 26th of October.

Note that the photo must be your own and must be animal-themed.
